Hi John,

I would like to update the blog tutorial for 1.2. You can assign me
the "blog Tutorial" if someone is not working on it. I am having a
tight schedule with my work and other projects, but I am sure I can
get some time for the blog tutorial.

Thanks

I'll mark you down - thanks for taking it on. The only advice I would
give for that section is to keep things as simple as possible. I'll
check back with you sometime next week.

Regards,

John

Hello,
I want to help n  Helpers Section, I think I can write some documentation in Form and HTML helper with examples.

and Unicode section, because I'm a foreigner to English and facing Unicode problems since 2004.

Please lighten me up with your descriptions. (How I can do this? post the documentation in here, and is there any related docs to see and make pattern or so?)

I'm going to be making extensive use of the AjaxHelper, so I may as
well document it as I go. I can also broaden the scope to the
JavascriptHelper and FormHelper if needed.

I'm also happy to copyedit -- in fact, given my own learning curve in
CakePHP, that might be a good task for me. Conversely, whereas I can
certainly use copyediting of my own work, it's probably equally
important to have someone check my technical understanding.

John,

Do you want some sort of mini-project plan or at least a delivery
date? I have yet to estimate the rate at which I can fulfill the
above commitment, and hence the completion date.

Thanks,

Philip

Guys,

Do we have a general style guide, or conventions for the documentation
project. I'm about to start work on the AclComponent stuff, and it
would be great to know if we've got any 'rules' or a kind of house
style.

Many thanks,
Simon

Don't worry too much about rules. Just work on creating easy-to-
consume content. I'll be editing any submissions for voice and
consistency anyway.

If you'd like to see how things are laying out already (as a guide),
check out http://tempdocs.cakephp.org.

I've already got a taker for the AjaxHelper - can you take
JavascriptHelper instead?

For sure - check out the manual at http://tempdocs.cakephp.org. If
you notice typos or problems, just log a trac ticket under the
1.2.x.x docs milestone.

I just expect you to check in with me weekly. We can work out
deadline goals on an individual basis.

That's actually still in the works, but I can contact you when we need some helping documenting it.

The current 1.2 manual is at http://tempdocs.cakephp.org - you can use that as an example if you wish. Docs contributions can be in almost any form as long as it's easy to copy and paste from. You can mail it to the list or directly to me - either way is fine.

Thanks,

John
