In addition to TOEFL essay templates, we offer you an assortment of common transitions and phrases you can use in your TOEFL responses. These words will allow your writing to flow more smoothly and connect your thoughts in a clearer, more logical manner.

Each of our TOEFL essay templates above has three body paragraphs and three main points. Although three points is a solid number of points, if you can only think of two points, just stick with those and try to support them as clearly and effectively as possible.

With TOEFL essay templates, you can organize your thoughts more clearly, spend less time outlining your responses, and prepare for the TOEFL with increased confidence. Our templates are also flexible, allowing you to customize certain elements to your liking and cater the templates to many different prompts.

TOEFL iBT is a commonly accepted English-language exam applicable worldwide for work, study and immigration. It becomes easy to pass this test when one knows about the two specific tasks provided here and their respective TOEFL writing templates. It teaches an individual how to incorporate vital pieces of evidence, organise thoughts and get the desired score. One may keep reading to get a clear understanding.

Under independent writing tasks, an individual has to write about his or her view on a particular question. The writings must contain reasons behind such opinions along with examples to support the statement. One will be allotted 30 minutes to complete this task. Individuals should remember to produce an essay length of at least 300 words to achieve a high score. However, they must try to keep it between 350 to 400 words.

Individuals must structure it into five paragraphs to impress checkers through their independent writing task. It includes an introduction, three body paragraphs and a conclusion. However, as candidates may have to write about six different types of prompts, it is impossible to maintain a single template.

In integrated writing tasks, candidates will first have to read a paragraph and listen to a lecture. The main task here is to summarise whatever one listens to in the lecture and how it relates to the information given in the paragraph.

Ideally, a good scoring integrated TOEFL writing section template contains four paragraphs, one introduction paragraph and three body paragraphs. Here there is no need to incorporate a conclusion. However, if one wants to write it anyway, it should not exceed the two to three sentences limit.

Just wondering how come there are no examples of personal experiences in your independent writing task template?
The toefl student prep planner clearly states that the independent writing essay should consist of personal experiences and examples to strengthen you opinion.

You have probably heard by now that one way to succeed on the TOEFL Writing Section is to use templates. There are many templates out there for the Integrated Writing Task, but did you know there is also one for the Independent Writing Task?

The very last task you have on the TOEFL exam is the TOEFL Independent Writing. For this task, you will be given a question relating to topic which asks for your opinion. Often these questions are designed for you to pick a side of a controversial argument, state your preference between two or three conflicting options, or explain why you agree or disagree with a given statement. You will have 30 minutes to plan and write about your opinion on the topic, including providing reasons for your opinion and a personal experience to support each reason. The TOEFL suggests an Independent Writing that is 300-325 words, but we recommend writing 350-400 words.

Using a template on the TOEFL exam will save you valuable time and keep you from losing track of yourself in your answer. While there is no way to predict what kind of opinion question you will get, there is a template you can follow no matter the question type.

I got my scores and they are terrible. R:30 L:29 S:20 W:20. I may not be the best but, I feel my speaking and writing deserved more. Could it be possible that they are giving low marks for candidates who are using templates? As I used the same template for speaking and writing from toefl resources. Since, there is no diagnostics like in gre, it's hard determine where I lost my marks.

My score is 30/30/22/23 (It was 30/30/22/26 but I submitted score review and it turns out, they made -3 to my writing...)Anyway, I can't understand why my speaking and writing is so low.I used templates. When I took toefl test 7 years ago, I didn't use any template and I got 25 in writing.I recall that those writing skill is NOT on par with my writing skill NOW.And I can tell the quality difference between 7-year-ago-25-score-my-answer and now-23-score-my-answer.
(Even the writing word count is greater. I wrote integrated 300 words / independent 400 words this time.

Therefore, I can't think otherwise than that the templates are minus point. What do you think? Of course I didn't bombarded my answer with all the templates. Of course those templates are just starting part, and ending part.

When my parents book TOEFL, I got only 3 day to prepare. Most of my time, I practiced only reading and listening, don't have any time on other two section. Because of that my point is 73(19 22 19 13) look at my writing point. And I have 3 month to increase my point to 100. There are a lot of templates in youtube and google, don't know which one is better? So give me advice in toefl writing section. Thank you.

The writing tasks measure your English proficiency, so you don't need deep knowledge on a specific topic to get a high score. Score raters recognize that each essay is a first draft, and you can receive a high score with an essay that contains some errors.

What is a good written response on the TOEFL? The essay should effectively address a topic. The response should be well-organized and well-developed using relevant explanations and detailed support. Furthermore, it should also display unity, progression, and coherence. If you want to achieve a high writing score, make sure that you demonstrate syntactic variety and appropriate word choice with minor grammatical errors.

The TOEFL writing portion contains two types of questions, the first is an integrated task that combines reading, listening, and writing. You will have 20 minutes to complete this task. The second question is an independent writing task that takes 10 minutes to complete regarding an Academic discussion topic. Test takers are allowed to take notes on the reading passage.
