This Week's Wrap-Up and Next Week's Games

Great job by our players today - the bats REALLY came alive in the
last inning of the first game, and throughout the second game, where
we maxed out on the 7-run limit twice, and almost did a third time in
the third. The great thing about those innings is there were a LOT of
hits and few walks. Great job by Zach pitching for his first time this
fall, with strikes thrown by all our pitchers. Also great to see
Mitchell pitch for this first time, and have Jack back on the mound,
and Luca go three innings well.

We will be playing in Rogers - which is about 40 minutes away. The
coaches talked about Car Pooling today. Dan, Jim D., and Randy
indicated they plan to attend. I will have to miss the first game, but
plan to arrive by the start of the second. Let's see if we can
coordinate rides with those guys to make it easy on the families. If
any other parents are planning to drive up for the start, please chime
in and you can offer to take some players. Keep in mind we want to
arrive by 9:30 to warm up, so plan on a 45 minute travel time -
departure from Edina at 8:45.

Dan lives near Cornelia and will take Jacob and Luca, and has room for
4 more. Jim D. lives just north of 62 / west of 100 and indicated he
could take 3 boys. Randy will bring Max and Zach and can likely take
another.

Our games are at 10 and Noon. We DON'T have a delay between, which is great.

I think Luca will be alright to play tomorrow. We tried some things today that seemed to help. He thinks he can try pitching and see how he feels.

I really missed playing baseball with you this fall. It sounds like you did a good job without me but I'm sure you could have used my hitting and catching. Can't wait until next year. Hope we can have the same team.

I also want to thank you for all the gifts you gave me including the baseball cards, the itunes gift card, the gum and icebreakers. They are all really good. The jersey with your names on it is the best.  Also, thank you for supporting me in my recovery. It helped a lot. 

I am feeling little pain now and get to walk on my leg in 3 weeks. Can't wait.
