I dusted off some of my old programming books over the weekend and I
took a stab a writing a program to conjugate Louisiana French verbs.
The result of my efforts is the Verbulator, a script that will
generate conjugations of verbs in 14 different tenses. The Verbulator
appears to work for regular -er, -ir, and -re verbs, plus some of the
major irregular verbs like être, aller, avoir, and faire. If you'd
like to experiment with it, the url is

It's going to take me a lot of time to go through and check the
output, but if you see something that isn't right, I'd sure love to
hear about it so that I can fix the script. One thing that I'm not
sure of are the alternate 3rd person endings for the present,
imperfect, and conditional tenses. If anyone has some insight into
this point of Cajun French grammar, let me know.
Other than that, how are your studies coming along? I have a list of
700 Cajun verbs that I'm drilling myself on. My son is still doing
the Cajun French BYKI sets from
http://sites.google.com/site/louisianafrench/
There are some new BYKI sets available now, so check those out if you
haven't already. Here are the links:

Remember to use as much Cajun French around your house as you can.
This morning I asked my son:
"Quoi t'aimerais pour le déjeuner?"
Étudiez bien!
