Aladdin Hasp Drivers

Usersrunning i1Display Pro with Mac OSX 10.6 (and higher) can sometimes see their console log is filling up with errors regarding Aladdin hasp drivers as well as crashing the system entirely.

Resolution:

Updating to the latest Aladdin dongle driver that is compatible on Lion and higher will resolve this issue. Please use the link below to take you to the lastest driver:

It looks like hasplms.exe is packaged with the flexera dongle driver installer. So if hasplms was updated then the version reported by hasplms.exe could change. So to expand and elaborate on the OP's question:

I agree. So do you think its safe to say that "FLEXID-9 dongle drivers are installed" if we find all the packages listed by "haspdinst.exe -info" on the system? And probably something similar for FLEXID-10 dongles?

Or is there a better way to detect that?

The Aladdin HASP key that is used as software protection for the Pro-Router uses system drivers to interface between the application and the plug-in key. Sometimes if there are problems with the drivers it is necessary to uninstall the drivers and start again.

To check if the driver is at fault, run the utility 'HaspID.exe' which should be in the main program folder or can be downloaded from Tools on the Technical menu on the website. If the utility reports the key number under 'Serial number' the driver is working.

Disconnect the local HASP key.

Make sure you are logged in as an administrator.

To make sure no old drivers exist, please download the driver "HASP4 driver cmdline.zip" from: the Aladdin site. **

Having downloaded the software, disconnect from any external input, including WiFi then if possible temporarily disable any protection software such as anti-virus and firewall.

Unzip it, and from command line go to that folder.

Run "hinstall -r -alldrv" from the command line in order to remove old installations; follow the on-line instructions if any.

If you get problems uninstalling, continue with the instructions below under "Error while installing driver".

Download the latest HASP SRM driver "HASP_SRM_Run-time_ cmd_line.zip" from: the Aladdin site.

Unzip, and then again from the command line run "haspdinst -r -purge", in order to remove any old installations.

Go to "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Aladdin Shared\HASP" (or the equivalent folder for your version of Windows), and erase every haspvlib*.dll.

The dongle driver installer for Windows is on the Orcina CD (Dongle\HASP-Setup.msi), or the latest version is available from the Orcina website: www.orcina.com/support/licencesupport/. Up-to-date drivers for Windows and other operating systems are available from the manufacturer's web site: www.aladdin.com/support/hasp/enduser.asp.
