Dear CAIS Community,

We are excited to announce that the CAIS 2024 Conference is fast approaching (draft schedule posted!), and we are seeking ~17 volunteers to serve as session moderators.

This is an excellent opportunity for conference participants, CAIS members, practitioners, and PhD candidates with relevant experience to contribute to the success of the conference and engage with the CAIS community.

Moderating a session is a low-demand way to get involved in the conference and give back to the CAIS community. As a session moderator, your duties are simply:

1. Introducing the session.
2. Ensuring panelists adhere to their allotted time.
3. Enjoy the show! ...and prepare a question or two for presenters
4. Facilitating the Q&A session by calling on people to ask questions or reading them from the chat

To sign up as a session moderator, please fill in your name in Column F (ModVol Name) and your email in Column G (ModVol Email) on the following Google Sheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1IdXtUcF3a9yO-oZc6BFc5KKyLn1BDg9rAPAGwJ8HQGU/edit?usp=sharing

The cells are colured so sessions occurring at the same time are more easily visible; if you're presenting be sure you're not signing up to moderate at the same time you're supposed to be presenting!

Session moderators will also receive support (as needed!) from conference organizers to ensure a smooth and successful experience. We appreciate your consideration and look forward to your participation in the CAIS 2024 Conference. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

Best regards,
