Hi,

thanks for this awesome plot library.
Unfortunately, the development seems to have stopped. I am currently
using one of the unmerged branches which adds support for using cairo
plots as gtk widgets. and there are other interesting unmerged
branches adding speedups for example. It would be really nice if those
changes get merged into the main branch.

I really hope that you will find some time to review these branches
and maybe add some of those to the next version.

I made that branch for use in the Plot Activity for the Sugar Learning
Platform. I'm glad someone is using it!

I had planned on making some more changes to it (for one, cleaning up
the API to separate drawing code from data even better than it
currently is, and possibly adding interactive features), but I don't
really have much time to work on it this summer. It could definitely
use some cleaning up, for sure, but I did my best in making my changes
to avoid breaking compatibility with existing plots.
