RealTimes is the newest version of the RealPlayer product. All of your favorite features from RealPlayer and RealPlayer Cloud are still here, plus some exciting new ones! RealPlayer Cloud users will automatically be upgraded to RealTimes within their existing RealPlayer Cloud app.

hey disregard my previous anonymous message here, I just downloaded the newest realplayer and installed again and now the real downloader works like it is supposed to on youtube although I have not tried any other sites yet. I assume if it works on one it will work on all of them. I hope it keeps working. btw, this is on a windows 8 netbook . thanks

FF flash plugin crashes whenever loading any page with a flash video. Happens consistently regardless of source (FB, YT, upworthy, etc). Have sent numerous crash reports, cleared cache, reloaded pages etc. Still no use. Repair steps invisible on your help page (below video that has crashed).

One more thing, i just downloaded the newest version of realplayer and i cannot download anything from dailymotion.com and when i open the convert and trim boxes it gives me a note that i need to update adobe??

I understand that you are facing some issues with RealPlayer. Please send an email to he...@real.com with a brief description of the issue along with your phone number and convenient time, so that we can help resolve this issue at the earliest.

Please be informed that, I checked my resources and it shows that we have an on going issue on this matter. We have few customers reporting that they are unable to download videos from DailyMotion web site. Our support team is aware of this issue and working on it with high priority. Once fixed, you will be notified by our support team.

MP4 file format requires H.264 codec for RealPlayer to either convert/play without prompting you with the pop-up for the Plus upgrade. Hence, installing QuickTime/iTunes will enable the necessary codec for RealPlayer to play/convert mp4 files. Follow this link: for QuickTime and/or for iTunes to enable the required codec. Upon installing either QuickTime/iTunes in your computer, try playing/converting the mp4 files through RealPlayer and let us know the status

Latest version of firefox does not allow real player down-loader plugin to record/download the videos.
Instead of suggesting all those lengthy procedures, just make the latest version of firefox browser compatible with realplayer downloader plugin. As simple as that.

It is really taking up too much of my time every month to revise and update everything so regularly. Please find a setup and stable system I can use without giving away so many resources and mental effort to learn everything month after month. I hate to complain but this is getting really bad. Using new updates is now becoming mandatory because the older versions have expiration dates as soon as a new version comes out it fails to work correctly any longer. And the additional optional stuff can not be opted out of or the download fails when to unpack to install. I do not want Norton or Macafee. They use too many resources. But your downloads are malfunctioning without them.

2. This is due to changes made at YouTube and we are working with them to resolve the issue. In the meantime, you can try the temporary solution provided in this link (if you are using Internet Explorer):

We are aware that the RealDownloader extension does not appear in Firefox 22. We are working to resolve this issue. When we have an update on the status we will let you know. Also we will provide any instructions that may be necessary.

Does anyone at Firefox see this as a problem whereas users are being pushed away to other browsing sources? Why not try to work out a fix with Realplayer? WTF is the problem with a simple correction! >: v

We are aware that the RealDownloader extension does not appear in Firefox 22. We are working to resolve this issue. However, you can try alternate browsers. Download This Video is currently not compatible with a 64-bit browser, but works fine on a 64-bit OS with 32-bit browser. For more information, follow the steps given: -Using-Download-This-Video-on-a-64-Bit-OS

I have just downloaded the most recent version of Realplayer but when I try to convert a video into a audio format, a window comes and offers me to purchase realplayer and when I select no thanks, and press the convert button again the window comes up again, whats going on?

Customers that are on Win XP or Vista, we will be working on a similar fix for RealPlayer v16 and hope to release that soon but do not have a date yet. For customers that prefer to wait for your localized language (not US English) we are working on those versions that as well.

I installed the most recent version of realplayer and the first time i opened up firefox i was able to download videos but now the download this video button does not come up anymore? I am using firefox, 27.0.1, i also tried google chrome, the download this video button still does not come up?

Since downloading latest RealPlayer I have had player close every time I delete a video and no downloader comes on in Firefox. Tried in Explorer and get error code -2147467259. Went back and installed Realplayer 15 and same problem. Worked fine until I pushed new version with cloud update. Need to get downloader button working and also stopping from closing when I delete video or update database due to closing as mentioned before. Downloaded new Flash and followed every step including downloading new RealPlayer program. The Cloud update ruined my player as it does not work at all now

Other customers have reported the same problem. We are aware of this and our development team is working to get it resolved soon. In the meantime, you can try installing the latest version of RealPlayer.

We are aware of this and our development team is working to get it resolved soon. In the meantime, I recommend you to verify whether you have the latest version of RealPlayer installed and the RealDowloader plugin is enabled. To verify, follow the link:

The effect of the about:config change seems to be to turn off the plugin-container.exe subprocess which was new circa 3.6.whatever at which point the realplayer video download plugin no longer worked properly.

The only downside I can see is that this brings plugins back into the browser's own process memory space which I don't have a problem with since I've never really had issues (that I was aware of) with browser instability due to plugins.

The RealPlayer media player equips all Web browsers with a plugin that enables playback streaming of a wide variety of file types. This plugin can also be configured to download any format of streaming media directly to your computer so you can view it later whether you're online or not. You can integrate the RealPlayer plugin into a Web browser like Google Chrome in just a few clicks.

RealPlayer, formerly RealAudio Player, RealOne Player and RealPlayer G2, is a cross-platform media player app, developed by RealNetworks. The media player is compatible with numerous container file formats of the multimedia realm, including MP3, MP4, QuickTime File Format, Windows Media format, and the proprietary RealAudio and RealVideo formats.[7] RealPlayer is also available for other operating systems; Linux, Unix, Palm OS, Windows Mobile, and Symbian versions have been released.

The first version of RealPlayer was introduced on April 3, 1995 as "RealAudio Player" and was one of the first media players capable of streaming media over the Internet. Then, version 4.01 of RealPlayer was included as a selectable Internet tool in Windows 98's installation package.[9] Subsequent versions of the software were titled "RealPlayer G2" (version 6) and "RealOne Player" (version 9), while free "Basic" versions as well as paid "Plus" versions, the latter with additional features, have also been offered. For the Windows OS, the RealPlayer version 9 subsumed the features of the separate program, RealJukebox.

In February 2016, RealNetworks released RealPlayer 18, which incorporated the features of the previous year's release of RealTimes, an app that makes multimedia montages from users' photographs and videos, backed up and accessible via cloud storage. The Real.com Blog states that "RealPlayer with RealTimes (aka "RealPlayer" for short) will still include the legacy features, such as Downloader, Converter, and Web Videos. It will also still include our RealTimes features, such as Photos and RealTimes Stories, our automatic video collage feature."[11] Note that as of 2018, the publisher only provides RealTime for use on a Mac and no longer publishes a media player called RealPlayer for macOS.
