1> Functionality wise, this headset is very flexible. It's basically has a mini DAC built-in to it, that allows you up to 96KHz sample rate and supports up to 8 audio channels(make sense since it supports 7.1 sorround sound). The great thing about this headset is its convenience: (1) I can be very mobile, (2)that removable microphone (2) ability to be wireless, digital(USB connected) analog(3.5mm jack).

DISCLAIMER: I did see reviews that the microphone was bad, the non-SE was even better as they say, and personally heared. Though in my unit, i dont see this problem. My unit could be a new hardware revision since it sounds fine. Note I bought this 2 months ago.

-For the sound: the FLAT audio response is bad. The way they tuned the headset is all over the place. The default profiles that Corsair provided also sucks. Dont listen to music using the flat response, you're gonna have a bad time.

For example, an equalizer will let you boost the bass when listening to dance music or increase the treble in a room that responds to low-frequency sounds. But which is the best Windows 10 equalizer? Are there any free equalizers for Windows 10? Keep reading to learn more.

Our first recommendation is Equalizer APO. It's the most powerful, customizable, and full-featured free sound equalizer that you'll find. The app operates as an Audio Processing Object (APO), so if your audio uses APIs like ASIO or WASAPI, it will not work.

Equalizer APO's best features include an unlimited number of filters, multichannel use, support for 3D surround sound, and very low CPU usage. You can also create multiple profiles (perhaps for your external speakers and your headphones) and hop between them in a flash.

The app offers a 10-band equalizer. That's not as many as some of the other sound equalizers in this list and way behind professional music equipment which might provide 30 or more. However, it's more than adequate for all but the most dedicated audiophiles.

Equalizer Pro comes with 20 presets, a system-wide bass boost feature, and the ability to save your own equalizer profiles. The app also offers a preamp volume control. It means you can adjust a single band to boost low tones without needing to tweak each band individually.

Firstly, let's look at the equalizer. It comes with 10 bands that go from 110Hz to 15KHz. There are also customizable sliders for fidelity (to reduce the muffled sound in compressed audio), ambiance (to add extra stereo depth), surround sound, dynamic boost (to increase the loudness by increasing the dynamic range), and bass boost. The preset profiles include Rap, Alternative Rock, Dialog Boost, Country, Techno, and countless more.

Real-time processing excels when you're listening to the audio on the web. Internet audio is only 16-bit, but FXSound uses a 32-bit processor. The processor automatically adjusts the fidelity, ambiance, and surround sound of the audio, then re-dithers it into 16-bit. This allows the app to improve significantly on the theoretical limits of the web's 16-bit output.

From an equalizer perspective, the mixer lets you adjust audio input as well as output. Therefore, if you're casting your screen via Twitch, speaking to the family on Zoom, or recording a podcast with your friends, you can make up for any microphone deficiencies by making the sound crisper and less distorted. You can play with the equalizer settings in the app's Master Section.

The software is primarily designed for people who listen to their computer audio through headphones. It can convert all your audio output into 3D surround sound without any additional hardware or boosters.

It also boasts one of the most advanced equalizers out of all the apps on our list. The equalizer has 31 bands and dozens of presets, both of which combine to provide an immersive listening experience, regardless of the genre of audio you are playing.

Equalizer for Chrome Browser is slightly different from the other Windows 10 sound equalizers we have covered. Rather than being an EXE file that you download and run on the Windows operating system, this is a Chrome app.

Audition is helpful not only for simple audio files, but if you dabble anywhere near videos, podcasting, or sound effects, Adobe Audition might be right up your alley. Moreover, apart from the usual suite of editing tools, the Audition tool integrates and works swiftly with various other apps offered by Adobe like Adobe Stock and After Effects.

RealTime Equalizer is an equalizer for Windows 10 PC, helpful in processing your MP3 or WAV files and works by adjusting your audio signals from sound card inputs. It lets you access as many as 300 separate channels to edit sounds. It also supports spatial resurrection, power amplification, as well as file amplification.

Hello,
I take this opportunity to say that there is a lua script equalizer available for gnome-mpv.
It is necessary to create a file with a text editor in .config/gnome-mpv/scripts/equalizer.lua where we put the script from this page.

Yes, I understood that @C0FFEE was looking for a system equalizer, but as we can do a lot of things with gnome-mpv (youtube, bandcamp, soundcloud, movies, music...), that can be enough.

Thanks @sangheeta For this new information. In software center i only found PulseEffects. That's why i am using it. It detect almost any sound related software. Such as spotify, vlc & firefox. My question is after save the "equalizer.lua" is it show on start menu?

You know, I usually will keep it on soundcore signature most times. I will switch potentially depending on what I am doing. So if I am listening to something that has a lot of bass in , I may change to something with more bass or will just use different devices with more bass up instead.

If you encounter an issue where you need to delete /.config/pulse then there also goes your equalizer settings. If your custom configuration was saved previousiy it can be chosen once again. Regardless if your preset was custom or not, all which needs to be done is re-enabling the equalizer, and selecting your preference.

The pulseaudio equalizer ladsp package worked for me in Kde Plasma. I installed it as described at the top of this post. Thanks for this tutorial! I am really happy with it, because especially youtube videos can be of horrendous sound quality, but with this system wide pulseaudio equalizer installed, even the worst sounding youtube can be tweaked easily.

If you do encounter an issue, since this software is from the Manjaro community repository you can file any problems you encounter here and hope for a response. Also, this software needs a new maintainer to carry the torch, so if anybody wants to try maintaining the software then lend your body to the cause of great audio for all so us brainlets can not think so hard about how to make Linux sound good.

Edit: Wow, also, funniest thing, I apparently posted a comment on this tutorial about a year ago I have since tried qpaeq, I did not have the same issues with it as I did with pulseaudio-equalizer-ladspa & pulseaudio-equalizer-gtk.

Pulseaudio Equalizer (qpaeq) has been recommended to avoid for many years, back to archived forum, because it generally does not work well
pulseaudio-equalizer-ladspa has been discussed much more on here for many years and is favoured by many users

Hi all, I had this problem too, luckily I was able to fix it by setting the equalizer correctly in EE and PE. It was then that I decided to share my work on GitHub and well this is the repository: GitHub - p-chan5/EasyPulse: A set of HQ presets for EasyEffects and PulseEffects. I decided to also include a stereo effect that sounds nice on headphones.

Knowing which is the most appropriate for you is difficult. However, I support both versions (the one using PulseAudio and the other using PipeWire). They both sound the same (far from the technical aspects).

So today I purchased a pair of Corsair Virtuoso RGB wireless headphones after going through a number of reviews as I needed a new headset for gaming. Previously, I used and old Razer headset until I bought a pair of Audiotechnica ATH-M50X audiophile headphones and they blew me away with their quality and clarity of sound, especially the lower tones. But I needed a headset with a mic so I go the Virtuoso and when I first set them up, I obviously wanted to check out the sound quality and my god it was terrible...

The main complaint with the HS80 default sound is the emphasis on 120-300Hz which makes it sound a bit boomy and it overwhelms the sub-bass below 100Hz. Compensating that and adding a slight 3dB boost to the 2-5kHz area clears things up.

corsair hs 70 pro gaming wireless, my best sound settings. all games and music sound very good. This setting is also great in competitive games. nice pure force full bass everything you need. for me, give it a try

Maybe it's a pure Elden Ring setting and somewhere else it doesn't sound good, but since I don't play anything else for now anyway, I'm very happy with it :D

A big thank you to all your posts, otherwise I wouldn't have even begun to find the right settings for my ears.

At its most basic definition, an equalizer manipulates frequencies. The technology first took off as a piece of analog electronics that was initially used in recording studios before making its way into the home. Whether analog or digital, an EQ is used to adjust different elements of sound to achieve an end result that appeals to the listener.

While humans can technically hear down to the depths of this register, most of these frequencies are less cerebral and more gut. Somewhere in the middle of this register is where your subwoofer will make that eerie sound of deep space in sci-fi movies, and these frequencies can add some serious, unearthly power. However, you would very rarely want to add more of this sound, and taking away from here can help give the music more overall clarity.
