Hi Neighbors,

Our electrician will be out to install the remainder of the Garage lights this week.  He asked me to tell you that in doing so, he might trip an electrical breaker in your home.  If he does so, he will usually come to your door and tell you, but if you are not home, or you don't answer the door, that's not an option....

If you come home and some lights or outlets are out, it's likely your GFI breaker popped during the installation.  To fix it, you need to reset your GFI breaker.  GFI breakers can be in any of the following 3 places:
  1. A breaker in your breaker box.  Flip the breaker off, and then on again.
  2. An outlet in one of your bathrooms (usually main floor).  Press a button between the outlets.
  3. A breaker in your garage.  Flip the breaker off, then on again.

If you can't figure it out, contact a neighbor or Ted for help.

Gene;
I'm not sure how to respond to your "heads up"..Mara and I are in Arizona for the winter plus the Utters are in Florida.  I also believe the Leonards leave for the winter and perhaps others.  I'm quite concerned that if the electrician shuts off our electricity during his work we will not be aware of that.  Plus, I'm sure it will adversely effect keeping our unit warm for the rest of the winter.  Sounds like a recipe for frozen pipes.  Any suggestions as to how we might be able to deal with this?

Good point, is it necessary to do our houses at this time, if there are three of us, 9maybe more), can the electrician schedule  these in May?  Or have one of the Board people come in and check if power is off?

Not to worry.

Our electrician finished the work today, and we have 88 lights on.  Which is to say that every one of our 44 townhomes has working electrical power tonight.  Even if a breaker had tripped, your home would still stay warm.  The furnace breakers are different from the GFI breakers that power the garage lights.

So sleep well tonight, and come home in the spring to see our modified garage lights.  I think you will find they now provide a warmer, softer, and more pleasant light than they did before.  I sure like them better.

Hi Gene,

We have been out of town for a couple of days, coming home last night.

We noticed the lights immediately!  They look SUPER! A great improvement.

Thank you for all your hard work researching and implementing the new lights.

Best,

Marion and Larry
