Update "python.defaultInterpreterPath": "Your_venv_path/bin/python" under workspace settings.(For Windows): Update "python.defaultInterpreterPath": "Your_venv_path\Scripts\python.exe" under workspace settings.
This is an addition to Sumit S Chawla's answer that, though it is correct, is missing the fact that anytime you open a folder in Visual Studio Code, it creates a .vscode folder, but those can be multiple, created any time you eventually open a directory.
The .vscode folder has JSON objects that content properties such "setting.json", in which one declare the interpreter to use at that the ".vscode" level (refer to What is a 'workspace' in Visual Studio Code? for more clarifications).
So potentially you could open Visual Studio Code at another level in the virtual environment. It creates another .vscode folder that assume as Python directory those of the global machine and so having such an error, and has I experienced has nothing to do if the virtual environment is activated or not.
This is indeed what happened to me. I have indeed a DjangoRESTAPI_GEN folder in which I initially opened the IDE and it did recognize the virtual environment Python path. Then a few days after I opened it at the level where Git is, so it did create another .vscode folder, that picked the global Python Interpreter, causing my lint in the virtual environment not been used.
And the virtual env interpreter did not even show in "select python interpreter". But as written, opening the IDE at the level where the .vscode folder, that has the settings.json file with the correct path, it does.
With Visual Studio Code, a task within task.json can be configured to build a python environment with python modules listed in the requirements.txt and upgrade pip within that virtual environment. To create the task, goto Terminal -> Configure Tasks. If there is no task.json existing in your environment, create task.json file from template -> then click other and copy and paste the json below. This file will be located in the .vscode/ folder in your environment: .vscode/task.json. This task is agnostic to Operating Systems such as Windows, Linux, and MacOS. With Windows' ecosystem of command-line applications, cmd.exe is used in conjunction with the flags /c and /d to ensure that the environment created by the task is correct. As mentioned by Neil in his post, you can either selectYes after the dialog prompt or select the python interpreter via the command palette.
"If you create a new conda environment while VS Code is running, usethe Reload Window command to refresh the environment list shown withPython: Select Interpreter; otherwise you may not see the environmentthere. It might take a short time to appear; if you don't see it atfirst, wait 15 seconds then try using the command again."
If your virtual environment is present in any of these default directories, you just need to activate the environment by selecting it. To select a specific environment, use the 'Python: Select Interpreter' command from the Command Palette (Ctrl+Shift+P).Refer: _select-and-activate-an-environment
If you have a requirements.txt file that you want to use to install packages, you can specify it here. The virtual environment will be created based on the packages listed in this file. If not, you can leave this option blank.
I have created a fairly intricate workbook employing various macros to perform dozens of calculations, shift data around, and create/delete/restructure columns in my spreadsheet. Now, however, I'm having trouble with a line of code in my Macros (which was obviously inserted by the Record Macro function, since I'm in no way familiar with it and did not program it in) that looks like this:
Where waterfall template.xls is the name of my workbook. I assume this, like the sheets().select function, tells excel to select a certain workbook before performing the next few steps, but I don't see why this is necessary: if the code appears midway through a Macro shouldn't the workbook already be selected? The reason this is a pain in the ass is because it obviously restricts my ability to rename the workbook or save it as anything other than Waterfall Template.xls (doing so renders all my Macros invalid). Simply deleting the lines with windows().activate doesn't work, as all the subsequent functions (i.e. select range, select columns, etc) all of a sudden don't work.
Is there any way to either 1) get rid of these lines of code and still have my macros work, or 2) make these lines more adaptive, so that instead of always referring to Waterfall Template.xls they refer to whatever workbook the Macro is actually saved in?
ok, well i tried replacing every instance of windows("Waterfall Template.xls").activate with ThisWorkbook.Activate, and when I ran the Macro Excel crashed... no error message, no debugging prompt, it just closes the workbook and goes unresponsive. Oops.
There were 2 problems in the code (the ThisWorkbook.Activate command and the ActiveWindow.Visible command) and you were dead on with both. I guess this serves as a lesson never to blindly take what Record Macro programs as infallible... I still have no idea why it inserted ActiveWindow.Visible=False into my code (over 200 times!), as I never hid any chart or range in the spreadsheet. Thank you both for your time and efforts, it's much appreciated.
I recently purchased 5 Kaspersky Plus sealed Activation Cards. When I tried to create a My Kaspersky Account and enter the activation codes, I was advised that the codes were already activated on another My Kaspersky account. I tried a second new sealed Activation Code and this was also registered to another email account. I didn't recognise either of these email accounts. After trying to Activate the 5 newly purchased activation codes from a reliable supplier, I was only able to successfully activate 1 of the 5 activation codes.
After over a week of trying to get some support with these activation codes, Kaspersky at first they though I was trying to con them, I was finally able to convince Kaspersky that I didn't activate the codes, and after they did some checking, realised that 4 of the 5 codes where Activated before the date of my purchase invoice.
I'm still waiting for a response from Kaspersky saying they will replace the 4 Kaspersky Plus codes for me. All I am getting is to return them, opened, to my supplier and ask for a refund. If I can't get Kaspersky to believe me in under a week, I'm sure that a supplier isn't going to believe me without proof. Only Kaspersky has the proof. They are not fourth coming in sharing it with me.
I purchased the sealed Activation Codes from a supplier, not online. I had to hound Kaspersky for nearly a month to get them to give me an official report that the codes were activated before I purchased them. I finally have the information, and my supplier is going to refund me the 4 codes that were affected. I'm still waiting on an explanation on how Kaspersky Plus sealed cards could be activated before I purchased them. It was also very difficult to explain to my clients that the codes had be used, as I was trying to install them.
