Hi there,

I'm very new to neural network so please excuse my ignorance.

This is also not a technical question, but more about the workflow when you work on deep learning.

How do you normally construct the model file, (the train_val.prototxt file)?

Do you do it by hand?

Is there any kind of IDE or visual tool for constructing that lengthy file?

Thanks

Take a look at it [1]. You may find it useful.

You can generate a prototxt from Python using NetSpec. It isn't very well documented but you can get the hang of it from the examples.
