Forward pass from within loss layer

I know the title sounds strange, but I was wondering if there is a way to run a forward pass from within the loss layer.

One example might be, in an FCN type situation lets say I want to evaluate the output of the network once more by doing one forward pass before computing the loss. How can I do that ? Pycaffe based solutions will be much appreciated.
