I'm working on installing Caffe on a new Macbook Pro which has an AMD Radeon GPU, not Nvidia. I've read conflicting accounts of whether it's OK to install CUDA on such a machine. Does anyone have experience with this scenario, and what would you advise?

Install CUDA anyway?

Or follow the instructions here (http://caffe.berkeleyvision.org/install_osx.html) and install libstdc++ instead?

CUDA doesn't work with non-NVIDIA GPUs, so you can surely install CUDA and use
nvcc, but you cannot run the compiled code on a AMD GPU.
