Hi,

I'm investigating usage of Caffe on MATLAB. My operating system is Windows 10. I have MATLAB R2015a. How could I use Caffe on this system?

Thanks in advance.

Best Regars,

Hi Murat,

MATLAB support is not directly available right now on the Windows branch (it is on my TODO list but I haven't had time to get around doing it). To get it working you have two options:

- clone the windows branch and merge this PR (https://github.com/BVLC/caffe/pull/4928) and follow the instructions as normal.
- use microsoft caffe fork (https://github.com/Microsoft/caffe)

Hope this helps.

Guillaume

Hi Guillaume,

My goal is to have a working copy of Caffe on Windows 10. I would like
to use it on my research projects. What do you recommend for me? Which
version of the Caffe is the most stable and reliable for Windows
users?

Thanks in advance.

I haven't tried the Microsoft branch myself so I can't tell you much about it.

Sticking to official windows branch makes sense as it may remain closer to the master caffe branch. Also, some people have shown interest in merging the OpenCL backend with the windows branch so it may bring more hardware possibilities for you.

I will soon update the windows branch with MATLAB support. I will let you know when this is done.
