Link Caffe against local OpenCV

Hello people, I've been trying to compile Caffe and link it against a local install of OpenCV.

I'm in a server where I have no superuser access, and Caffe is failing to link against the OpenCV that is already installed. That's why I decided to try with a local version.

I tried with  -DOpenCV_DIR flag, but it cmake still finds the system OpenCV before my local install.

I'm using cmake because it is easier to pass the paths of the other libraries (protobuf, lmdb, etc) which I also have locally installed.

Has anyone done this before? Any thoughts?

I've searched this topic here but haven't found anything related.
