New DType In Caffe

Hi,

I've implemented a DNN using the standard Caffe dtypes, and now I'd like to try and use my own dtypes (such as fixedPoint, binary, possibly trinary) to try and see the effects of different representations on the accuracy.

How would I go about defining a new DType and applying it?
