Writing Protobuf file in python

Hi

How do we write protobuf files using python for caffe. This is the only reference I managed to get https://github.com/BVLC/caffe/wiki/Making-Prototxt-Nets-with-Python. But this doesn't really explain a lot. Can someone explain, in general how to go about it?
