How to combine several TMs?

What is the procedure to combine several (in this case: 4) translation memories (for sentences)?

Save them in one folder, open the folder (rather than one file), followed by Save Memory As.

I must be doing something wrong here:

1. Made sure all language codes in the TMX files are correct.

2. From the Project Manager I select Edit TMX, I point to the folder on my Desktop containing the TMX files: nothing happens …

Hi Hans

Edit TMX allows you to set one TMX file for edition. You need to choose
the memory folder in the Memory for Segments section of the Project
Manager. Alternatively, open them via Memory | Open memory... menu.
