Can't open a source language document because "Access Denied"

Can anyone help me solve a problem?
I've downloaded and installed CafeTrans Espresso as I want to try it out before buying.
However, I can't get to first base because when I attempt to upload a source-language document, I get an error message that "Access is denied".
What's going on here?

Hi,

Your source language document may be located somewhere in your system (or the cloud service) with limited access. Try opening it from another location. Also, make sure that CafeTran has been installed correctly in your operating system Mac, Windows or Linux - https://cafetran.freshdesk.com/a/solutions/categories/6000028195/folders/6000232627
