Translating Final Draft files, .fdx

Hello, I have a some scripts that I'll be translating in Final Draft that the clients wants to delivered in Final Draft. On Proz, I saw some suggestions for converting the .fdx files to .xml and then back again but with CafeTran this inserted incorrect spacing. I think that I can just do it in Rich Text Format and cut and paste and adjust formatting but I would rather, of course, do it easily and automatically. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge on this?
