No Cafe for July!
The torpor of summer heat has settled in, and July has sneaked up on
Chad and found him without a topic or speaker. This means the cafe we
would usually have on the first Wednesday, July 1st, is canceled.
Alternate ideas
This frees up a evening in your schedule. What will you do on July 1
instead? Chad has suggestions:
Cafe Scientifique Orlando has now completed one full year of wonderful
topics, and we thank you immensely for your support and interest. Head
over to our web site and [1]suggest a topic you'd like to hear about.
Chad will do his best to get suggested topics covered in future cafes.
What else? July 1 is Canada Day! Dress up like your favorite historical
Canadian, or take the entire family out to a Canadian restaurant! Fun
Fact: Not all Canadians can magically fly! It requires a steady diet of
poutine and Molson or this fragile gift is gone forever!
Consider crafting [2]your own badges to match your skills and interests
in the sciences. Some of the badges referenced by The Order of the
Science Scouts of Exemplary Repute and Above Average Physique could
apply to almost any Cafe Sci attendee, though some are for actual
scientists.
We will see you in August!
