Comedy tonight and more

Hi everyone,

You know, when Mama Mezrab was still around she was the best ambassador of our place. She was never afraid to step to a stranger and tell them to try visiting an event, but especially strangers who walked in the city with a musical instrument.  This is how we met the amazing Vincenzo, who became a fast friend of ours. He stepped into our space with half a dozen instruments he had studied to play the traditional music of Sicily and the South of Italy. He is also an amazing cook! I am happy to see that more that almost twenty years after mama telling him to come, he still visits Amsterdam to bring us his art!

Now, what else is happening?

The Comedy new material night is happening tonight of course! Free entrance, just come support the comedias! Doors 19.00, comedy at 20.00.

Tomorrow (Tuesday) I will be hosting the Pearls on a String night, The meeting point for music, storytelling and improvised theater. Always lots of fun. Also free!

Thursday night is the night of the music of Vincenzo (and band), opening acts and the tasty finger food of the Balanced Plate. Read about it here, listen to the tracks and get tickets!

On Saturday we honor the summer weather with a tropical dance night during our returning Vintage Voudou parties! Look!

Finally this week the Sunday ends with an edition of New Harvest. This is an event we do every few months, highlighting the developments of the tellers you might know from the Wednesdays and Fridays. Instead of coming with a 10 minute story, they invest in longer pieces which include theatricality. The event has a small door cover which goes to the artists, and you get to see storytelling in exciting new forms!
