Hey everyone,

You know I like dramatic topic lines. But now I have good reason to be dramatic. The crowdfunding campaign for our book is almost over, and we are quite close to the finish line! We have raised 75 percent and only two days are left to make the final jump! Supporting this book means over thirty Mezrab storytellers will see their work in print, all stories about the topic of home. It means the fleeting art of the spoken story will become a physical memento. So, if you haven't done so yet, be generous and help a brother out.

Now, if you like the live performances, we also have you covered there. This is by no means a complete list what we do, but have a look:

- Tonight: Pub Quiz in the Other Mezrab (de Wittenstraat 27). Since the campaign is coming to an end we are inviting you for a fun night, with ticket sales to it going directly to the book. Have a look here for info
- Tomorrow (Tuesday) we continue our Tuesdays pushing the boundaries of storytelling with a fan favorite: Off the Page. During this night, hosted by Fernando, we look into the relationship between spoken stories and literature. Doors 19.00, stories 20.00. Free entrance (donations are appreciated).
- Thursday night will be another rocking Club Amsterdam Klezmer with our favorite Amsterdam formation and their friends! Here's links to listen and tickets.
- Saturday night brings back the Alt Comedy Night in which we look at the absurd edges of comedy. This edition brings international guest RED BASTARD, a clown/bouffon traveling overseas to play with us. Tickets here
- Finally I want you to go and grab your tickets to next week Thursday's show (October 23). It's a way for us to warm up for the Amsterdam Storytelling Festival. It's a night in which we bring Toronto's storytelling legend Dan Yashinsky, one of the pillars of the traditional stories. He will be joined by the gracious dancer Annemarie Cabri and a musician who's been dying to play with them: Me. If you are in for an intimate night brought to you by the founders of the Toronto storytelling scene, grab your tickets now!

There you have it. Of course there's many more events, but I always have to make a selection of what to give to you in this week mail. Usually nights that will fill up anyway are not mentioned. If you want to see the full programme, go to mezrab.nl and look at the calendar!

See you at the events,

Sahand & Team

PS, tickets to some of the shows of the Amsterdam Storytelling Festival in Podium Mozaiek are going fast! Day passes already gone. Have a look at what you want to see, there's the full spectrum from very traditional shows to absurd experiments: www.storytellingfestival.nl
