Hi everyone,

Let's get down to Mezrab business, or Mezness, if you will.

Tonight (Tuesday) we have another edition of Samizdat. The night in which the personal stories intersect with the political. Host of the night will be Raffi Feghali. This is part of the Tuesdays programming in which we let storytelling be just a little bit different. The nights are always free (though donations are welcome). Doors open at 19.00, stories start at 20.00! The programming continues with a Pearls on a String night coming week (Feb 17). It's the night in which we mix music with storytelling and improv theater. Always a daring night, but specifically this edition will be AMAZING as the guest performer is improv legend Inbal Lori. The week after (Feb 24) we will do our LGBTQ Night!

On Sunday we have another edition of our social dance. It's our monthly event in which we get together to dance on the old timey European tunes, played live by great musicians. Teachers will teach you the steps so you can join in! Read more and buy tickets here

For music we have:
THRS 19-02 / The Krautrock inspired electronic music duo Burnt Milk doing their album release!
THRS 26-02 / The return of Armenian/Kurdish/Turkish fusion quartet Nasin! Listen and buy tickets here
SAT 28-02 / Disco Diaspora night with a special Sranang (Surinam) vibes! Look!

If weird and alternative comedy is more your thing, get your tickets either for the Alt Comedy Night (Sat 21-02) or on the day after the solo show Goblin by local legend Derek Mitchell. Look at all the reviews he got!

That's it. Your choice of entertainment, or Meztainment. If you will.

Yes, I'm doing the Mez- thing like the soulless burger corporation is doing the Mc- thing. But we have underground creds, so Mezdeal with it.

See you soon!

Sahand & Team

PS, more of you should learn storytelling. And you should do it now, before social media and AI has completely destroyed our ability to write full sentences. In fact, you can grab a beginner's course (or a one day storylab, or one of the other great things we offer) on www.mezrabstorytellingschool.nl
