Hi everyone,

Happy summer solstice! Our hemisphere is closest to the sun, and that turns us into human lizards. Lounging and soaking up rays. Maybe occasionally you will seek refuge in our artistic space, which we really recommend you to do often. It's good for the brain and the soul and it rests your poor skin! Here's a curated list of our events, which I am presenting to you in a slightly different format. I once learned that frogs can't move their eyes, so as they look at the immobile world, they stop seeing what stays the same, and only see the movement of the insects they eat. Here's my attempt at letting you see this mail as new because it's different.

So, what's happening? There's the free Comedy Open Mic tonight! We love you to come and enjoy things free of charge, and the comedians benefit from having a kind audience to deliver their new material to!

Tuesdays:

- June 23 / Pearls on a string / We are slowly winding down the Tuesdays with another edition of my favorite event! We mix improv theater, storytelling and music! Free!

- June 30 / Welcome to the Playground / The actual last Tuesday of the season is very special. We decided that every performer we are inviting for this Tuesday is a Mezrab host! What?? Yeah, come and see them shine as performers.

- July 7 / TIm Orr and Raffi Feghali improv special / Psych, there's one more Tuesday. But since this one is in July, it doesn't count. We have a ticketed show of an international legend in improv, Tim Orr, teaming with our own Raffi. Tickets mezrab.nl (Tim Orr is also giving a workshop on Saturday July 11, 11.00 - 16.00!)

Music:

- June 25 / Bohemian Balkan Night / Nadara Transylvanian Gypsy Band / Our music programmer Rogier is knocking it out of the park again with our upcoming nights. This Thursday we will dance on an amazing Balkan formation! Just listen here and invite everyone you know.

- June 28 / Orchestre Partout Jam / Free meeting of instruments and ears. Come to listen or participate in a free jam with the kind folks of OP! There's soup!

- July 2 / Afro Anatolian Tales / Do we have the most soulful fusion band of the Netherlands playing in Mezrab? We sure do! They blend Anatolian melodies with all the silk road detours you can imagine. Listen and come.

Storytelling Shows:

- July 5 / New Harvest / Once every few months we allow some of our tellers to bring a longer investigation. A piece of storytelling that beyonds the short stories we do on Wednesday and Fridays by length and format. They get to experiment with theatricality and dive into longer pieces. This edition has a powerful trio of tellers, you don't want to miss this. 

See! So much to do and see when you are done soaking up the rays!
