improv week is on!

Hi Everyone,

Quick mail to tell you it's summer, but we are still here for cultures and socials. Because even though it's summer, we are still here for you!

First off, the storytelling events will keep happening in the summer in the Mezrab on Wednesdays (open mics) and Fridays (curated) and the Other Mezrab (de Wittenstraat 27) on Fridays (mix of curated and open mic). The nights are donation based, doors open at 19.00 and stories start at 20.00

In addition to those we have an exciting week: This Thursday we are brining over two of the best improv actors on the planet. Just pure joy. Jim Libby (US) and Jacob Banigan (Canada) will entertain us and let us forget the outside world. There's tix for you here. Tell your friends!

Then on Saturday and Sunday Jim and Jacob will pass on their huge improv knowledge in workshops. Jim on Saturday and Jacob on Sunday. The one day workshops are for people interested in improv of all levels! The workshops will be given in the Other Mezrab. You can get a workshop ticket here (Saturday) or here (Sunday).

In addition to these improv treats we also have:

- The Mezrab Comedy Night this Saturday. Grab tickets while they last.

- On Sunday we have the Mezjam, Babak hosts a warm night of musical meetings. You are welcome to bring an instrument and join or simply to listen. No tickets, the night is donation based.

- Then on Thursday we are proud to host the event: Stories of Suicide Prevention and Hope. The night brings some of the performers you know (and some you don't) to use storytelling as a tool to break the taboo on mental health as a topic. Personal stories allow us to reflect and connect on painful realities as well as share tools of coping and healing. More information here.
