Hey friend,
The human experience is that of difficult decisions. And ooh boy, we have one for you. In a week and a half we have an amazing party in the Mezrab (because it's summer and we miss you) and in the same weekend you can go to the outdoor premiere of the new show I made with co-founder of the Mezrab Storytelling School Raphael Rodan. Actually, it's not that difficult of a choice, because we play our show three times in the weekend, and it's perfectly combinable with the party!
So, on
Saturday July 25 our music programmer and house
DJ Rogier "Zé Karlo" brings the live formation
Trinka! Yes, that's Afro-Brazilian sounds that you need to upgrade your summer.
Listen here and get tickets.
On
Saturday July 25 and
26, Raphael and I (as well as our brilliant musicians) play our show
My Brother's Keeper that dives deeply into an important question: if, as best friends born in Iran and Israel, we decide to tell the story of the very first killing, that of
Abel and Cain, who between us gets to live and who gets to die? So you see, the difficult question is this one, not which event you go to (you can do both). We play in the Amsterdamse Bostheater. Twice on the Saturday, and once on the Sunday. The Sunday show also has a pretty high profile specialist in the field of polarisation coming to talk after the show about some of its social implications. If you've never been to the
Amsterdam Forest, this is also a great way to get to know it, by visiting the Amsterdamse Bostheater.
Info and tickets here.
So, come to the events! Get your tickets, make me a happy man.

PS, summertime is also the season for reading. Did you already get a copy of the book? You can get it online, or drop by on one of the Wednesdays or Fridays. These nights will continue all through the summer.
