Hi everyone,

Last week I hosted the Tuesday night. It was so much fun to do so, so I am back tonight! What's happening? We are doing Pearls on a String. The night which mixes storytelling, improv theater and music. We bring people from these three disciplines to play for us and see how on the spot we can make a unique experience for you. Tonight's guests are (but are not limited to) Flock Theatre founders Laura and Gael Doorneweerd-Perry. Doors open at 19.00, events starts at 20.00. No tickets, but donations are super welcome!

On Thursday we rock the Mezrab with another Brazilectro night by Zuco 103. Each time they bring other amazing guest musicians. This session features the Indian Goddess Sandhya Sanjana! Info and tickets here. Student tickets available!

Then coming Monday (April 28) we have a Comedy Open Mic. This is the free little cousin of the Comedy saturdays. The material is raw and you are there to digest it first. The night is free, and the comedians appreciate your presence so much!

Here's something else that you might appreciate to know. Last Friday we opened the Other Mezrab with a beautiful day of shows and stories. You are very welcome to join the events. We are brainstorming about different events, but in May we are already starting with a free evening of storytelling (and more) every Friday! The address is de Wittenstraat 27, and more info you can see on our website www.mezrab.nl, just look out for the The Other Mezrab tag!

See you at the events!

Sahand & Team

PS. Our music programmer Rogier is doing a great job with the music programming, bringing truly rocking nights. Here's a look into the future:
May 8 - From Athens and Thessaloniki, visiting Mezrab for the third time, by popular demand: Gidiki!
May 10 - Kurdish Dance night with Mirkut! Yalla! Tickets and info here.
May 15 - Persian/Armenian/Turkish fusion (and beyond) by mystical musicians of Hamraaz! Look here for info.

PPS. Now that it's physically impossible to be at all Mez events at the same time, it's even more appreciated that some fo the stories you can catch on the Mezrab podcast. It's on many platforms, here's the link to the spotify one: https://open.spotify.com/show/5BII2F3V8bFcyi3qh92x1H
