Time to celebrate

Hi everyone,

This week life offered us some cause for celebration. In the past few weeks I had mentioned our need for your help to crowdfund the very first Mezrab book. Help you did (together with some funds who liked the project). We raised 128 % of the amount we needed to print our book! Also, the Mezrab House of Creations (our production house branch) just finished creating its second show. An experimental storytelling show that pushes the boundaries of the art form! We worked with the multitalented Kurdish storyteller/theater maker Sipan Sezgin Tekin! He will play his show (in English) in Frascati theater this Wednesday and Thursday. Just look at this smooth trailer and buy tickets. 

What do we have in the Mezrab? Well,

Tuesday we have our Samizdat night again. We dive into storytelling with a social/political edge. 

Thursday we are very proud to host Dan Yashinsky, the Toronto based Jewish-Canadian storyteller. If you go to see Sipan in Frascati on Wednesday, you are welcome to see and hear storytelling in its pure simplicity on Thursday. Dan is a master who has been introducing storytelling to a few generations, for a few decades running the Toronto storytelling festival. On Thursday he will be joined on stage by the choreographer and dancer Annemarie Cabri and myself (Sahand) as a musician. Here's more info and tickets.

Saturday we have another Vintage Voodoo Dance Party. It's all about the finest vinyl and includes a listening in the dark session! Look!

Sunday there's a storytelling jam night called Tell, then show! A fun night in which anyone who feels like sharing joins in. No need to buy tickets. Just come!

Then next week on Monday we have our monthly Comedy Open Mic on Monday.

Also next week on Thursday we have a music night which is going to blow your socks off. Honestly, I saw a video of the rehearsal, and I couldn't believe my ears. Listen and buy the tickets.
