Hi everyone,
Sometimes I use this email list to personally invite you to a night. Of course all nights in this list are important, but some nights are more dear to me, since I will host them myself, and honestly, as a dad of young kids, I don't do that enough! Well, good that I am trying to get you to come, but what am I inviting you for? It's the monthly Pearls on a String night of course. It's probably our most daring night, in which we invite storytellers, musicians and improv actors to jam together! So, come tonight, it's free (though donations are appreciated) and we will have some fun (doors 19.00, event 20.00).
After tonight there's:
THRS 19-02 / The Krautrock inspired electronic music duo
Burnt Milk doing their
album release!
SAT 21-02 / The weird and unique
Alt Comedy Night (
tickets here)
SUN 22-02 / (Daytime) solo show
Goblin by local legend
Derek Mitchell. Look at all
the reviews he got!
SUN 22-02 / (evening) Jam session with Orchestre Partout. Come and listen or play! Free entrance.
MON 23-02 / Comedy Open Mic, because comedians need kind audiences to practice and get better. Free entrance
TUE 24-02 / LGBTQ+ Storytelling night. Hosted by our dear friend Marijn!
SAT 28-02 /
Disco Diaspora night with a special
Sranang (Surinam) vibes!
Look!
And that's the end of the month already!

PS, we still have some open slots in various of our
storytelling courses. This includes three day starter courses as well as the six month professional course for which we will close submissions soon. Have a look to see when you want to join:
www.mezrabstorytellingschool.nlPPS, If you miss Iran related content, there's two interesting things to look at. One is that the
LAB111 is showing the Marjane Satrapi animation Persepolis, the heartbreaking story of the Iranian recolution throught he eyes of a nine year old. Here's
info and tickets. Then on
Saturday there is a concert in the
Bimhuis by the musical powerhouses of Afro-Anatolian tales. For this show they invited two Iranian soloists to play the
melodies of their heart. I will do the introduction to both these events.
