Hi folks,

Let's get down to business. This week we're offering you good stuff in three different places: Delft, Amsterdam and Mezrab. Yes, that's three different places. In the same way that some Amsterdammers claim that their city is something separate from the Netherlands, so is the Mezrab its own world.

Now, on to the good stuff:

Wednesday (tomorrow) / Storytelling show by Spindlevine in Delft.
Once a month Mezrab programmes a cool show we believe in for a cool theater in Delft. This month you get to enjoy the storytellers of Spindlevine tell you the moving tale of when love makes a storyteller lose his ability to tell stories.

Friday Oct 3rd / Storytelling Night + Book Presentation (Dutch)
Once a month we get together for a storytelling show in our moerstaal. You got that right, we honor the gutteral beauty of Dutch by telling stories in it. This month is extra special because we're also visited by Iranian Dutch writer Firoozeh Farjadnia who will present her first book in Dutch called Postvogel.
Doors open at 19.00, event starts at 20.00, mom makes soup.

Saturday Oct 4th / Metamorphosis, BIG storytelling show @ Podium Mozaiek
Two, three times a year we make a HUGE show at the big hall of Podium Moziaek. You're very welcome to hear stories that you've not heard before, performed in a way you've not seen before, mixing storytelling, music and audience participation in a new way. The storyteller of the event is Sahand Sahebdivani, the musicians an all new line up of the Mezrab Collective, and boy do these guys rock. Special guest star is Bulgarian Trumpet Superstar Raya Hadzhieva who is sure to break your heart.

Here's a nice tip, if you are a member of We Are Public, this is one of the shows they're offering for free! http://wearepublic.nl/
Get your tickets now! Event is in English.

Sunday Oct 5th / Belly Dance Workshop
The Belly Dance journey continues with another session at the Mez. come and experience why so many gals (and a few guys) walk around with a spring in their step and a smile on their face. Sessions are given by the amazingly talented Tato.
16.00 - 17.30. Single session € 15,- (for more info mail: tatobel...@gmail.com )

Sunday Oct 5th / Verso (English)
Once a month the leading English literary community comes to the Mezrab to read and discuss all things poetry. Come be part of this event. Full line up here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1516658875241648/
Doors open at 19.00, event starts at 20.00

Well, that's it for this week. Hope to see you at one of the events!

Sahand & Team

PS. There's a bunch of other cool stuff happening in Amsterdam all the time. Almost every Saturday you can catch some cool stories at the True Story Comedian nights. Here's more info about them:

Two Wednesdays a month you can catch a great Impro show at the Impro Upstairs event (in the attic of the Boom Chicago theater):
