Come listen to tragedies tonight

Hi everyone!

Tonight we have another cosy Tuesday to dive into stories (and story related arts). It is a night that Fer is hosting, called the Mezrab Tragedy Night. What is the opposite of comedy? Is it something done is all seriousness? Is that what the times need? Does it make things funny again when we try to be serious? Come and find out. Doors open at 19.00, event starts at 20.00. No tickets required, but donations are welcome.

This Saturday we are the stage for the Fringe show of dance and physical comedy performer Cristian Boscheri. We are very proud to host him. Come see what the show is about by buying tickets for the 18.30 show or the 21.30 show.

We are also excited to have you join classes. Here's a quick reminder that we are starting our 3 day intro courses to storytelling again. The next one is happening September 19 - 21 and has a few slots open. More info on www.mezrabstorytellingschool.nl 

We also would like you to know about the new season of Armenian choir singing that's starting this Saturday. This is a great way to dive into music and introduce yourself to a deep culture. No musical experience is needed to join. The series will be 8 sessions, starting this Saturday. It takes place between 11.00 and 13.00 and ends with a small performance. There is a symbolic fee for the entire course of € 100,- which just covers the rent. If you are interested in the course, please email Mary Aygetsy on merykar...@gmail.com .

- Thursday Sept 18 the club night of Amsterdam Klezmer Band, featuring the Syrian Oud virtuoso Talal Fayad!

- Thursday Sept 25 we have the brilliant composer and Clarinetist Ghaeth Almaghoot with his quintet.

- on Saturday Sept 27 we dive into the world of Greek Rebetiko with the Trio Skoutas/Mitarakis/Zarias
