Two events tonight!

Hi everyone,

This mail will be shorter than what you are used to. The reason is that I am potty training my girls, and the more I write to you the bigger the chance that one of the girls will spoil a priceless Pesian carpet before I am done. So next week clever observations, one liners and finely crafted jokes. This week the bread and butter of a good mail list edition, the events you are looking for!

- Tonight! Comedy Open Mic in the Mezrab. Come support new comedians or old comedians with new material! Doors 19.00, Comedy 20.00, free entry!

- Tomorrow (Tuesday): Pearls on a String. The night which combines storytelling, improv and music. See us create something from nothing and give you a good night along the way! 20.00, free entry.

Want to get tickets for Mezrab shows? No problem, here's a little selection that will put a smile on your face:

- Thursday May 30th one of the best international clowns, Dr. Brown, comes to Amsterdam to do a solo show in the Mezrab. Read up about this brilliant show here. This will be unique and unmissable.

- Sunday June 2nd we have the solo show of Jenny Mercein, also an international performer who is a known face in theater and TV. She brings us Two Elizas, an intergenerational show on resilience and women's rights. Info and tickets here! Also unmissable and equally unique. Yes, two things can be unique, don't fight me on this.

Then later for music we have:

- On Thursday June 6th the hoppiest of hoppa hoppa formations Amsterdam Klezmer Band has another club night in our humble location. 

- On Saturday June 8th we bring you the Tartit Live! They are Touareg musicians from Timbuktu and bring you a desert exile blues you don't need to understand to feel. Have a listen to the clips here and get your tickets.

PS, I realize I said there are two events tonight. It's true! Tonight I play in the Splendor, which is, like the Mezrab, one of the important artist-run places of Amsterdam.
