Hi everyone,
So, tonight you are welcome to join the Tuesday storytelling series with another edition of Mythos. It's a night dedicated to hosting old stories of fiction: fairy tales, myths, legends. No navel-gazing personal stories tonight, we dive into our rich cultural roots!
Tomorrow (Wednesday) we have very special event in the Other Mezrab (De Wittenstraat 27). We show the Manual for the displaced, the intensely beautiful short poetry film created by Robin Block and Jeremy Flohr. We watch the film and have an after talk on identity and belonging. This is a free event, just show up to the right place.
Friday evening you are welcome to join us for another storytelling event in our cosy new location the Other Mezrab in de Wittenstraat 27. Like stories but want to sit close enough so you can touch the tellers? Now is your chance.
On
Saturday night we bring something very special, a night of
KURDISH Party music! We are really excited to host
Mirkut, who will light up our week with infectious joy! For this night we also have a student discount, as well as de-flation tickets (very cheap tickets for people who can't afford the full price).
Read, listen and buy tickets here. And please, tell all your Kurdish and non-Kurdish friends to come!
We end the week with a great music Mezjam on Sunday! Bring your instruments or just come to listen. Babak will guide us through a nice night of melodic and rhythmic meetings! Event is free, though donations are welcome! Doors open at 19.00, jamming starts at 20.00

After the week of course there's a few things that deserve your attention:
- Lebanese impro actor
Raffi Feghali giving a one day workshop of improvised storytelling on Saturday May 17.
Still tickets left!
So much to do, so many things to choose from. You're very welcome!

PS, I don't often write about my own shows in this newsletter, but I do have a solo show I am very proud of. An intense piece of storytelling on resistance called
Verzet! (Resist!). I have three more shows coming up, and honestly, I don't know if I will play it afterwards. Come on
April 9 (English) to the
Bijlmerpark theater, or
April 14 (English) and 15 (Dutch) in
Theater Bellevue.
PPS, School's in session! We have added new dates for our popular
three day course intro course to storytelling. Go to our site and
block some dates.
