Hey everyone,

Tonight we have another great Tuesday night lined up for you, hosted by Fernando. It's a night called Off the Page, where we explore the relationship between storytelling and literature. We did this Tuesday a few times before, they always were great fun, we are proud to have them back.

Before I tell you more, do me a favor and listen to this song. Yes, it's legendary Amsterdam band Supercity, who made the dirty city nights slightly dirtier. Some of you might have been at the 20 year Mezrab party, where they also performed a killer set. So, why am I sharing their song with you? Because they are in the Mezrab this Saturday with a full line up of their various projects (live acts and DJ sets). And because they love us so much, they don't want to charge a ticket at the door. Instead they want you to rock out (and donate for the music). More links and info here.

Got the music bug and want to join? On Sunday we also have our monthly Mezjam, led by the kind soul Babak. Grab your instrument or your clapping hands.

Now that you know what's happening this week here's a few more things to look out for:

- Theater Bellevue has programmed a few amazing Mezrab artists to do their storytelling/theater shows in April and May! Look at this line up! Honestly they all deserve to be seen, but I personally recommend seeing Aryeh Hasfari on April 20 or the Chord on April 25, which I wrote on the unbelievable life of Meysam Forooz, a piece that we will play together! Anyway, have a look and grab your spaces. Many of the shows are pay what you can.

- there's two upcoming music Thursdays in the Mezrab that you might want to tell your friends about. One is the night of the irreverent Iranian underground band Velshodegan. They will sell out, but there's still a few tickets left for their show on April 17. Then we have Zuco 103 with another electrobrazilian club night guest featuring Indian goddess Sandhya Sanjana! Tickets and info here.

There you have it. Don't let them tell you Amsterdam has become a boring city. We just took the fun and put it in one place!

PS. Supercity also has a song called MEZRAB! The song and the video, inspired by the early days of the Mezrab are the trippiest thing you've seen.

PPS, When we told you we are opening a new space called the Other Mezrab, we can already tell you we are soft launching the first events. There will be free storytelling nights on the Fridays. Just like we have now, just small and cozy! You can see them on www.mezrab.nl, make sure to scroll down
