Dear you,

Almost two weeks ago I sent you a message which talked about our MezBook crowdfunding. You lot didn't mess around, in a short time we raised almost half the budget for the printing of our book! Now, if you've been on the fence about it, here's a little reminder, we have collected personal stories from the Mezrab tellers on the theme of home, We want these stories to remain, even if the live story is fleeting. More than that, we want you to have a memory of the fondest night you might have had in the Mezrab. We are self publishing so if we end up making any money on the book, it can go to the contributors. Have a look at the campaign, and if you can donate, you'd make us very happy!

Now, print is amazing, but the live stuff also doesn't disappoint. There's a Persian language storytelling night happening tonight. Don't come if you don't speak Persian. Tell friends who do. Then tomorrow (Tuesday), we have the Mythos, the storytelling night that dives into ancient folk and myth. We connect with our roots and realize humanity is basically the same beast, even if we traded furs for suits.

On Thursday we have a music show called Balkan Fuego. All you need to do is to go to the page link and listen to the song we've posted there, it will make you buy the tickets immediately. And honestly, another reason to go is knowing that such amazing artists come and play in small intimate venue. I recently went again to a World Music concert in Tivoli in Utrecht. Not only did I pay three times what a Mezrab concert costs, the sound really was terrible. Come to our music nights for a real connection with the musicians.

Saturday night we bring some Naz and Gher at our Persian Love Bandari Techno party

Then Sunday everyone is welcome to join the music by listening or participating in our MezJam! Doors open at 19.00, jamming starts at 20.00.

That's it for the week!

hugs,
Sahand & Team

PS, did you already note storytelling legend Dan Yashinsky in your agenda? He's here playing on October 23!
PPS, we also started selling the tickets for the Amsterdam Storytelling Festival happening in Podium Mozaiek, Nov 5-9. Day passes are almost sold out, so get individual tickets for shows you'd like to see! If you don't know what you'd like, send me a mail and I will advise you.
