Sign me up to bring the regular coffee!

I will be out of town for Easter, so I'll drop it off during Holy Week.

Hi everyone,
I did check of pantry and we do still have supplies from last year.

We have
1 10lb bag pancake mix
3 bags decaf best by 2/7/15
32 oz coffee best by 1/30/15
3 half full bottles of syrup
3  and 1/2 salt (not counting extra in cabinet).
4 and 1/2 pepper (not counting other salt pepper shakers in closet)

Im not a coffee drinker, but i assume thise are still fine since we saved from last time.

Based on rest, i dont think we need salt and pepper.  Also, since Christine generously donated coupons for the sausages, i went ahead and got 2 more syrup bottles and 4 boxes pancake mix.

Thanks for the update! I'm a coffee drinker and I would drink it without hesitation. I think it's totally fine to use the coffee from last year, especially since it's not that far past the date. Just my opinion.

I already bought more coffee for this year, so I'll still drop it off, even if you may not need it for this Sunday. If it's not needed for Easter, please feel free to use it for any church program/event, or keep it for next year.

Since we only had 2 lbs of the regular – we will definitely need more!  Thanks for getting.

Is there a list of items that we still need?

Also, I think i'll be around to help cook on Sunday.

Allegra,
Glad that you and Liz can join.
I actually picked up syrup on sunday and i think we have enough salt and pepper.  But we do need juice still and griddles!  Anyone have a griddle we can bring or borrow?

Christine,
Awesome you can join!
As mentioned to Allegra, juice and griddles i believe are most pressing.

Kwang, did we ever provide sugar and creamer?  Or does the church already have that?

I will be bringing a griddle.  Sugar and cream would be nice, the powder kind.

Also, I received this message from the church office from another volunteer:

Hello Stephanie,

Could you please send the below email to the appropriate person.  Apparently, the email in the bulletin is not correct (cafe-c...@googlegroups.com).  Thank you.

Hello,

I’m a member of The Chicago Temple and go to the Saturday 5:00 service.  I see in the bulletin that you are in need of helpers for the Easter breakfast.  I could probably help after the 8:30 service for a few hours.  Please let me know your needs and the shifts available.

Thank you so much!

Nancy,

Thanks for volunteering to assist in making breakfast, setting up tables, etc for the annual Easter breakfast.

Kwang will confirm – but I believe that we will arrive between 8 and 8:30 am to start the process so that we are ready to serve the hungry folks following the 8:30am service.

Thanks

Kathy

Thanks

Kathy, that's a very good point! We'll have extra coffee again, but that's okay.

I'm dropping off the coffee at the church today. I assume the best place to leave it is in the basement kitchen, in the pantry. If I can't get a key to take it in there, I'll let you know where I left it. I don't want you to be running around on Sunday morning trying to find it!

Rena,
The church office has a key to the pantry (and kitchen)
I have my items in the pantry, 2nd or third set of doors, top shelf.  You should see boxes of pancake mix, so you can put near there.
Thanks
Kathy

More Good News: Pastor Myron has acquired a second griddle for us to use Sunday. It's currently in Stephanie's cubical in the office.  Also, the plates, cups, silverware, etc. are in the church office.

Hi all. Here's another update. I recently dropped off the coffee and with Jonni's help, we also took the items from Merrie to the kitchen in order to keep everything together. I saw the shelves Kathy mentioned in the pantry, but there wasn't enough room. The coffee, griddle, silverware, etc. are on a cart inbetween the wall and silver cabinet/fridge/freezer on the left side when you walk into the kitchen. Jonni said no one should need that cart tomorrow or Sat. and there's a note on the coffee. Should be safe there until Sunday.

Just in case here's a picture for their whereabouts.

Hi, Kwang and everyone.

I used a new e-mail address now. I have not been in my yahoo e-mail account in a long time. I apologize for missing this e-mail.

This year, I have a family commitment in Bronzville for Easter; and I will not be attending church services at FUMC.

But still, I would like to help out. I do have my griddle, but it has not been used in a year. I hate threads because details get lost. Kwang, you can text me with the logistics (i.e. time to be there for set-up).

Thank you.

Michelle

Hi, all.

I will bring my griddle and 2 Pam Cooking Sprays (organic). Also, I will be donating it to Cafe or the church. What time will we need to be at the church for prep?
