简介： 陈昕，华中理工大学首届少年班计算机安全专业本科，对年轻人职业发展有切身体会和独特见解。她所带领的团队负责思科国际实习生计划，思科研究中心的运营以及博士生和访问学者的招聘。 陈昕热爱教育，对北卡数理高中申请及美国高中规划和大学申请有独到见解，多年组织北卡MathCounts州队培训和高中数学队选拔，积累了广泛的学校及人脉资源。 儿子邓凯文在哈佛大学主修数学辅修计算机，去年带队在世界大学生程序设计比赛中取得过去十年北美最好成绩，并将于今年5月获得哈佛本科及硕士学位。 女儿邓安琪是北卡数理高中12年级学生，已被哈佛大学提前录取。作为北卡有史以来第一位高中数学竞赛女冠军，她曾参加位于麻省理工的科学研究夏令营（RSI），并入围Regenerous 科学奖（STS）半决赛。
Linda Chen is part of
the Research & Open Innovation Group at Cisco, in charge of Cisco
International Internship Program, Senior Academic Talent program and the day to
day operations of Cisco Research Center. She has hosted the North Carolina
State MathCounts team for the last decade and recommended many students to
North Carolina team for American Regions Mathematics League. Her son Calvin
Deng is a senior at Harvard College. He led the Harvard team to gold medal at
ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest World Final. Her daughter Angela
Deng is a senior at North Carolina School of Science and Math. As the first
female champion for North Carolina State Math Contest Comprehensive Final, she
was named Regeneron STS 2017 Scholars based on graduate level research project
completed at Research Science Institute hosted by MIT.

1:30 pm: 第一部分(Chinese/English)：大学申请： 与中国高考不同，美国大学申请是一个长期“工程”。很多家长为了能让自己的孩子能从众多优秀的孩子中脱颖而出，真的是使出浑身解数，但效果却并不理想。 本次讲座通过分析美国大学录取流程，帮助准备申请美国大学的高中生和家长们少走些弯路。
