Hi Tom,

Does my model outputs look okay? I was wonder what else I could do to analyse my data? (I'm looking at how different regional climate models affects sediment generation/ channel morphology and the impact this has on flooding)

I've run the model with the lateral check on/off (unconfined and confined). These are my two reach difference models... (I've also done cross-sections)

I've also run a 1-in-2 year flood for confined and this was the output (I still need to do unconfined). I also have a 1-in-100 year flood to run.

It really depends on what science questions you are trying to answer! The sediment loads look reasonable to me – I suspect you have too high a lateral value for your reach expts with the lateral erosion… those are my observations..

Lateral erosion rate = 0.000001
...passes for edge smoothing filter = 30
No. of cells shifted lat erosion downstream = 3
Max diff allowed in cross channel smoothing = 0.0001

I was initially looking to see if my H++ regional climate models would cause more aggradation and/or erosion compared to my baseline model (which has limited CC influence)

But since my rainfall data was daily/24 and not hourly, the model couldn't pick up on the differences in intensity of individual storms between the RCM and Baseline. So my rainfall peaks are subdued and in reality, the only difference is the rainfall totals.

So now I'm just looking at what influences confining and unconfined channels will have on aggradation and/or erosion patterns. And whether this influences flood extent, duration etc.

Maybe add another Zero or two to the lat rate.

Looked at using UKCP18 rainfall data to drive this? Pretty sure that’s hourly.. maybe 15 min...
