On the other side is a small waiting room where you can find some Credits, Ammo, two floor chests, and a Master Security Box. This will be marked on your map when you find it, so be sure to come back later.
Step inside the elevator to the right which will take you down to the Mining Tram Station. For once there is nothing to collect here, but make sure you override the station lockdown before exiting through the Mining Operations door.
Of course the developers had to make use of such a spacious elevator, so be ready for an ambush partway down. Notice that some of these Necromorph miners have armor on. This will protect them from some of your shots, but they are still weak to explosives and fire damage. If you are going to use traditional weapons make sure you are aiming for their exposed flesh only!
Once the fight is over the elevator will resume its descent to Deck C. Hop out of the elevator and make your way down the hallway. Around the corner, past the Item Box, you will see a bunch of lasers blocking the hallway. A Necromorph will walk directly into them and die, showcasing how dangerous they are.
To get by, you need to Kinesis the metal crates and place them in front of the lasers to block them. You will have to use the same crate multiple times, moving it from the first set of lasers to the second.
Once you pass the first two lasers keep going forward and around the corner where you will encounter a third set. There is a second crate down the hall, so grab that one and block this final set of lasers to reach the Ore Storage room at the end of the hall.
Go back out into the hall and follow the Locator trail to the Extraction Area door. I recommend grabbing one of the explosive tanks or fan blades here and carrying it forward. Walk past the dying miner, you can find a floor chest and a Store where you can sell the Semiconductor.
As you round the corner you will see an Infector latch onto the body of a dead miner. If you brought an item along throw it to stop the Infector before it can reanimate the miner. There is also an Item Box nearby.
Ahead is a locked door and a Save Station. Go up the ramp to the right of Save Station where you will find a Bench, floor chest, Item Box, and a Text Log, Miner's Log. Be careful though, a Necromorph will try and ambush you as you go back toward the ramp.
Go back down the ramp. You may have noticed a battery sitting on the table near the Save Station. Grab it and carry it toward the elevator on the opposite side of the walkway. Slot it into the opening on the wall to power on the elevator, then ride it up.
Turn and go down the hall, through the Mining Control door. We have reached our destination! Walk around the room and collect the loot: Credits, Ammo, and this Text Log, Mining Progress, on the table in the middle.
Move the crates that are blocking the hallway to the right, then go forward. The path splits, but this area is shaped like a square so they reconnect on the other side. Start by going left to reach a small workshop with a couple of floor chests.
Keep following the path and you will see a shelf with multiple Stasis Tanks on it. I would grab one now because you are about to be ambushed by some Necromorphs, including one of the bloaters. Make sure to have your Flamethrower ready to kill the Swarmers that burst out when it dies.
From this spot next to the Stasis Tanks look around you and you should be able to see, through a smashed window, one of those circuit locks inside a nearby room. Shoot it through the window to unlock the door, which we will be getting to in a moment.
Grab another Stasis Tank and keep going forward. At the next split in the path go left to find an Item Box, then be ready for more Necromorphs. They come from every direction, so use the Stasis Tank at the split path to create sort of a chokepoint, then use a powerful area attack to kill two Necromorphs with one shot.
Once they are dead you can go down the hall to a sort of office area with some Credits on the ground and the door we unlocked earlier to the right. There is also a Security Phone with a message waiting if you want to listen in.
Right of the hole in the wall, on the same side, is another platform with a door leading back into the Processing Area hallway. This section of the hallway contains some Credits, multiple wall safes, and a floor chest. Loot and head back into the Processing Chamber.
Kill all the enemies and finish destroying the last of the boulders, then fly back to the Processing Area door from before. On the same platform as the door is a computer you can use to reactivate gravity. Be warned! Activating gravity causes a bunch more Necromorphs to flood into the room, so be prepared.
Activate the gravity and walkways will raise, connecting the platforms in each corner of the room. Necromorphs will rush in, coming at you from both sides. Because we only have limited space to work with we need a weapon that can clear a path. Force Gun, Line Gun, and Contact Beam are all great options.
I recommend choosing a direction and just going forward, blasting through enemies ahead to avoid getting surrounded. A variety of enemies will be chasing after you, but keep an eye out for those bomb-armed Necromorphs in particular. They do massive damage so do not let them get close to you. Instead turn their bomb against them and the other Necromorphs by shooting it directly, causing an explosion.
Plus the grand prize, Dallas's RIG. Picking this up not only completes your current task, it also gives you Security Clearance 3! Open the Clearance 3 chest on the floor nearby before you leave.
Go through the to Elevator door in the back corner, which leads right back to the start of this floor. Don't go back to the elevator just yet though! Make sure you run back to that Security Clearance 3 door from earlier.
Follow the Locator trail back to the elevator. This time we are going to ride down to Deck D - Maintenance. You will get a video call from Hammond and Daniels. Once it is over step out of the elevator.
The very next room contains a bit of an annoying encounter. There are downward-sloping ramps in front of you and to the left. Two Infectors will begin reanimating the bodies of the dead miners in the area. Use a powerful single-shot weapon like the Contact Beam if you want to stop them in their tracks.
Once the Infectors are dead I recommend going down the ramp to the left, grabbing an explosive tank, then rounding the corner and tossing it straight down the hall at the Guardian. If that isn't enough, blast it with a firewall to cap things off.
Go back to the previous room and exit out the Equipment Maintenance Bay door. On the other side is a Save Station, and a gondola. Pull the gondola toward you with Kinesis, then hop on and activate to ride.
As you may expect this is not going to be a very peaceful gondola ride. Partway through, various enemies will pop up on the platforms to the left and right. You can shoot them with the Plasma Cutter, or pick up and throw the explosive tanks sitting around.
In the next room your conversation with Nicole will continue, but you can loot the two floor chests here while she talks. There will be a Necromorph attack soon so go ahead and pick up one of the Stasis Tanks in preparation.
With the gravity flipped off you can take flight and more easily make your way to the other side of the room. There are some more of those Guardian tentacles around, so be sure to keep your eyes out for their projectiles.
You can fly around and get the loot from the enemies you killed earlier. You can also fly down to the area below the gondola where there are a couple of Item Boxes floating around (some more enemies as well).
When you reach the elevator, take it back up to Deck C - Mining. The elevator will lock up again before reaching Mining, and some more Necromorphs will come climbing down the walls. Deal with them to get the elevator going again, and to your destination.
Rush through mining and make your way back to the Control Room. You will pass by a Store at some point if you have the funds to upgrade to Suit Level 4. Reminder there is a Bench nearby as well if you want to do some upgrading as well.
Reminder that there is also a Security Clearance 3 door on the way to the Control Room. This Storage Room contains a bunch of Item Boxes, lockers, and wall safes, including one containing a Node.
So what is the task on hand again? Destroying the Gravity Tethers, aka those giant spinning wheels on the floor and ceiling. To destroy them, hit the wheel with Stasis, then carefully shoot one of the circuits inside through the gaps in the wheel. Shoot one circuit on both wheels inside the room to disable them.
If you touch either the asteroid or the giant metal clamps around it you will die instantly, so make sure you hit the metal clamp with Stasis and wait for it to be out of the way before you try and fly past.
Once you are outside your Oxygen will start ticking down. Thankfully there are easy-to-access Oxygen Refill stations near both Tethers. Lurkers will come after you the instant you fly out into space, so focus on dealing with them before anything else.
Once you destroy the fourth Tether your final task will be to place the SOS Beacon. Carefully fly to the top of the giant asteroid where you will see a small silhouette of the Beacon showing you where to place it. Place the Beacon to complete your task.
When you get back to the Mining Bay you will notice that there are now giant flames blasting out of the machinery. Remember to grab the battery out of the elevator, then very carefully step past the flames during the times they go out.
If you want to speed the process up, you can simply fling the battery across the room so you don't have to carry it while avoiding fire. Place the battery back in its previous spot and ride the elevator up to the Control Room level.
As you attempt to leave the room a lockdown will happen and another Hunter will burst through the ceiling. You just need to avoid it for a little bit while you wait for Daniels to get the door open, so Stasis it and chop its legs.
