Have some free time to improve the Caelyf sample template. There is a fragile version here: http://mynines.de.a9sapp.eu that will be online for a week or two. It now uses groovy 2.4.4, redis 2.7.2, plus my AsciidoctorTemplateEngine depends on asciidoctorj 1.5.2 but have not had time to fix core or caelyf website yet. Hopefully b4 aout.
If the a/d template engine proves robust enough it might be possible to put it into groovy. But it needs you or Cederic to review it. My big concern is that it is a huge dependency tree of 6+MB so may be too big 4 groovy. But if it does fit, we would have asciidoctor textfiles as first class citizens along with .gtpl , *.groovy, *.html etc.
Any ideas welcome 😉

Asciidoctor is too heavy to bundle in Groovy, so I don't think it's a good idea to have it in the Groovy distribution.
It should stand on its own, externally.
