We had a great "Do Something" party yesterday. More than 30 people showed up to make almost 400 phone calls, write almost 400 letters, have a robust conversation about our ballots from the national to local levels, and/or enjoy a Democracy Happy Hour. We're still nervous about the election, but we're happy to be in it together!

Canvass in-person for Adam Gray (CA-13 - Merced/Madera)Canvass in-person for Rudy Salas (CA-22 - Bakersfield/Kern County)And if you're outside the East Bay, or you'd like to volunteer but none of those is quite your cup of tea, here are two other ways to find volunteer opportunities:
- Swing Left: enter your zipcode and they'll show you nearby events for phone-banking, door-knocking, and letter-writing, both to swing states and for important congressional and other races here in California
- Mobilize.us has yet more local and virtual volunteering opportunities, including for some local races
Thank you again, and be well!
Best,

Why not now, when we could so use the perspective that humor would allow?
