Fellow voters & Do-ers,

We had a great "Do Something" party yesterday. More than 30 people showed up to make almost 400 phone calls, write almost 400 letters, have a robust conversation about our ballots from the national to local levels, and/or enjoy a Democracy Happy Hour. We're still nervous about the election, but we're happy to be in it together!

THANK YOU to everyone who came or helped:
Alice C, Alice G, Alisa W, Anno L, Art E, Ashley L, Craig S, David K, Elizabeth G, Gary G, Heather E, Jennifer W, Jenny M, John W, Josh I, Judy A, Juliana J, Kag, Katie L, Keith M, Kyle L, Kim W, Lucy M, Mariana A, Marites A, Martha C, Mary CF, Michael M, Penny B, Phil M, Raines C, Sara Z, & Wendy P (plus, of course, Kim & me -- and apologies if I missed someone!)

Lost & found: if you left some glasses here, we've got 'em! (see attached photo)

Do Something More!

Donate to support volunteer canvassers in swing states through Jeff & Kim's fundraiser for Seed the Vote. To learn more about what we've been doing and why Seed the Vote is so terrific, read my latest blog post about my trips there.

Phone Bank for Harris & the House: call NV, AZ, and CA Congressional Districts, Wed 10/30 5-8, and 12 more times through the election!

Last Letter-Writing Party: Tue 10/29, 9a-11a at Cafe Leila on San Pablo Ave

Canvass in-person for Adam Gray (CA-13 - Merced/Madera)
Canvass in-person for Rudy Salas (CA-22 - Bakersfield/Kern County)
And if you're outside the East Bay, or you'd like to volunteer but none of those is quite your cup of tea, here are two other ways to find volunteer opportunities:
  • Swing Left: enter your zipcode and they'll show you nearby events for phone-banking, door-knocking, and letter-writing, both to swing states and for important congressional and other races here in California
  • Mobilize.us has yet more local and virtual volunteering opportunities, including for some local races
Thank you again, and be well!

Best,
Jeff

We'll look back on this someday and laugh.
Why not now, when we could so use the perspective that humor would allow?
