Dear fellow voters,
Here's the first of my summary emails with links to my blog posts about how I'm voting in the November election. This one covers Berkeley's 12 (!!) ballot measures and Berkeley's elected officials. Separate emails and posts will come soon for other elected officials (from President to local districts + Alameda County) and the state propositions.

Here's the summary, with links to individual writeups where I've written them. As usual, boldface indicates the races I feel most strongly about:

W: Yes to Update/Extend Berkeley’s Transfer Tax to Pay for Homelessness Services
X: Yes to Support Berkeley’s Libraries
Y: Yes to Support Berkeley Parks
Z: Yes to Extend Sugary Beverages Tax
AA: Yes to Extend Voter-Approved Spending Limits
DD: No Endorsement on Prohibition of Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations
HH: Leaning No on Indoor Air Quality Measure
Mayor: Adena Ishii
City Council District 2: Terry Taplin
City Council, District 3: Matthews #1, Bartlett #2
City Council, District 5: No endorsement
City Council, District 6: Andy Katz #1, Brent Blackaby #2
School Board: Corn, Vasudeo
Rent Stabilization Board: Kelley, Twu, Marosavic, Johnson

Please feel free to forward this to people you think would be interested, encourage people to visit the blog and sign up for this email list (see the footer below).

If you have feedback, please comment on the blog -- I answer blog comments before I answer individual emails. As usual, all views in this email and on the blog are entirely my own and are not those of my workplace or any organization I'm involved in.
