Inventory updates from a distribution centre back to Chanel Advisor.

I work for an IT company, we have a fulfilment centre that we're writing a custom integration to get Chanel Advisor orders sent to the Warehouse Management System and then send back tracking information back to Channel Advisor. 

We also need to keep Channel Advisor up to date on the inventory level in the warehouse. 

I am unsure how this should work. With any sales channel software or ecommerce website, we can simply update the inventory levels at the correct location.
