The ForceEffect eBook is now available The Autodesk® ForceEffect™ eBook is a great new tool that provides an introduction to design and engineering for high school and college students. Real-life examples and video tutorials help bring static concepts to life and offer a more intuitive and fun way to solve engineering problems. Educators can use this material to complement their own course curriculum, helping their students solve more complex challenges. Winners of 123D Design Challenge We are proud to announce the grand prize winner of the Autodesk® 123D Design Challenge, Alex Maund! The U.K.-based designer’s Variable Insulating Cup stood out from the crowd. The competition received 120 entries from students in more than 15 countries. Any of your students could be design geniuses. Autodesk provides them with free* tools to help them learn and opportunities to showcase their talents. Autodesk prelaunches GreenBuild 2013 The Autodesk® Building Performance Analysis (BPA) Certificate program, launched in August for students and educators, is now open to professionals seeking continuing education credit. Like the BPA Certificate program, the pilot BPA Credits program is free**, self-paced, and online. Greenbuild 2013 covers energy literacy and building loads; whole building energy analysis; and daylight analysis. The pilot course is now open to eligible professionals to sign up and earn USGBC and AIA credits. Refined mobile game development software Autodesk® Maya LT™ 2014 3D modeling and animation software is designed for indie and mobile game developers. Based on the award-winning Autodesk® Maya® software, Maya LT offers users a familiar UI and workflow which enables indie developers to model, light, and animate 3D characters, props, and environments for PC, web, and mobile games. Maya LT is an ideal choice for artists of various skill levels. BIM curriculum for the classroom The newly updated Autodesk® BIM curriculum available at Autodesk Education Community provides educational tools for architecture, civil engineering, structural engineering, and construction management studies. Educators can easily drill down into a specific discipline or field of study to access a wide selection of free* videos, tutorials, and other interactive learning tools that can be incorporated into existing curricula.
