referencing progressiveCactus, and plans for forthcoming paper?

Hi,

I expect to be publishing method involving progressiveCactus and will want proper way to reference progressiveCactus.  Should it be to the github site?

Also, are there plans for a paper, and/or are there any description of how progressiveCactus works, beyond the discussion in github issue: Add genome to alignment ?
