[CACNE] Board Elections & Paying Your Dues!

CACNE Members!
The normal weekly email will come out on Wednesday as usual but I wanted to emphasize two important points coming up this week.
1. CACNE Member Dues - Due Now!
2. CACNE Elections - Candidate Sign-Ups Begin

1. CACNE Member Dues - Due Now!
CACNE is a member-supported group. Without your voluntary dues, we would not be able to have a fraction of the events we hold, from football viewing parties to New Student Receptions to Celtics and Bruins games.
Your annual $20 CACNE dues go towards the administrative costs of the group, including capital for football viewing parties, receptions for new students, events with prominent local alumni, and fundraisers for the CACNE Scholarship Fund.
Perks of paid membership include:
- Priority for limited participation events
- A free CACNE 2010 Member 22 oz Stein
- A $3 donation to The Cal Fund
Without your support, CACNE will not be able to continue its current level of operations. Pay your dues today at http://calnewengland.org/donate.

2. CACNE Elections - Sign-Up for the Executive Committee
The best way to give back to CACNE is to volunteer your time. If you love CACNE and you would have some time to give, please consider nominating yourself for the CACNE Executive Committee. Every two years, our group elects seven new members to Ex-Comm. These individuals plan events and make sure they go smoothly, arrange logistics, and perform other assorted duties.
Any candidate for the new CACNE Executive Board must submit their name by 11:59 PM on Friday, October 15. You can sign up today at http://tinyurl.com/cacneelection10. There are no pre-requisites for running: anyone can volunteer!
