Before we get started this week, I just want to remind all of you to make your $20 dues donation and volunteer for the CACNE Executive Committee by Friday night. Also take note of the special event and start time for this week's viewing party.

1. Meet Coach Onstead & The Cal Field Hockey Team This Saturday 10/16 @ 2:30 PM @ The Baseball Tavern!
***FREE APPETIZERS WILL BE SERVED***
Come and join CACNE as we greet the Cal Women's Field Hockey team as they pass through Boston on their East Coast road trip. Coach Onstead will be talking a bit about her program in general and also give us an update on the recent changes in the athletic department. I encourage all of you to come out, meet the players, and represent our group well.
Also, our usual football halftime food will be served at this event, so come by the game an hour early to partake with us and take part in this great and unique experience.
For those of you wishing to watch the team in action, the team's games are Friday 10/15 @ Fairfield (CT) (4 PM EST) and Sunday 10/17 @ Providence (RI) (11 AM EST).

Don't miss what could be Cal's first win against the Trojans in the LA Coliseum for ten years. We should have a great turnout, and the game is only available via satellite in Boston, so come enjoy the game and bring your friends with CACNE!

3. CACNE Trivia Night Continues Thursday, October 14 @ 8 PM!
Come join CACNE as we compete in the Alumni Group Trivia Competition! Group prizes include gift certificates of up to $100 for the Baseball Tavern.
I am also glad to announce that CACNE is still winning the Alumni Challenge after the first two weeks! The winning alumni group after eight weeks will win a free end-of-season wrap up party with food and drinks as well as a banner hanging in the BT as 2010 Alumni Trivia Champions!
Trivia night will be held every Thursday, September 30 - November 18. If we get enough interest, we can have more than one team, so the more, the merrier! If you're interested in coming to one or all of the nights, sign up today on the CACNE facebook page!

On Sunday, October 24, 2010, join your fellow Golden Bears in a great New England tradition -- apple picking! Additionally, we will be attending the Bluegrass and Brews Festival at the Nashoba Valley Winery & Orchard. This is a great chance to experience the Fall in New England by spending some time picking apples, tasting cider and wine, participating in pie eating contests, and enjoying some great food with friends! Sign up today to help us arrange carpool rides for everyone.
