Here's a quick version of "The More You Know" prior to this week's showdown with Nevada.

• Nevada plays in the Western Athletic Conference and is 2-0 after beating Colorado State last week 51-6.  Last season, Nevada went 8-5 and lost to Southern Methodist in the Hawaii Bowl. 
  
• Nevada set a record in 2009 by having three players rush for over 1,000 yards in one season.  This is the only time that this has happened in NCAA Division I history.  Two of those players, Colin Kaepernick and Vai Taua, are still playing for UNR this year.
  
• The Nevada campus is located in Reno.  The mascot was renamed the Wolf Pack after the animal's prevalence in the movie The Hangover.
  
• Cal's all-time record against Nevada is an astounding 15-0-1, but the two teams have not met since 1996.
  

Saturday's game will be broadcast on ESPN2, but the best place to watch the game is still at the Baseball Tavern with your friends at CACNE!

A quick note: a member of the press may be at our viewing party to do a story on college alumni groups in the Boston area.  I hope you all will have a strong showing and represent Cal well this Friday!

2. CACNE Trivia Night Starting September 30 @ 8 PM!

The Baseball Tavern has started an Alumni Group Trivia Contest!  The winning school will get a free end-of-season wrap up party with free food and beer as well as a banner hanging in the BT as 2010 Alumni Trivia Champions!  There will also be weekly prizes for top performers.

Trivia night will be held every Thursday, September 30 - November 18.  If we get enough interest, we can have more than one team!  If you're interested in coming to one or all of the nights, sign up today!
